Commissioned & supported over 200 artists to deliver workshops, events & exhibitions with us.

Hosted over 6500 attendees across our events.

Trained over 50 organisations - from grass roots to heavy hitters - on how to support & work with artists on creative health projects.

Support Hub

We came to the end of our 3 year funded Support Hub project, providing a range of support programmes across London, Manchester, and nationally online, for artists working in creative health. You can now read our report produced by Dr. Susan Potter, our Independent Evaluator, about the impact of the project.

Medi-Culture Workshops

Our continued partnership with Team London Bridge’s Medi-Culture Festival saw us commissioned to deliver 2 sessions focusing on the history of medicine and culture in the local area, working with artists Judith Walker and Dr Ngozi Oparah on sessions related to gut health and storytelling related to health diagnoses.

Sandpit Sessions

Thanks to our partners at London Arts & Health we were commissioned to deliver a number of ‘sandpit’ sessions - focused on artists sharing practice related to certain themes, and for participants to gain knowledge and experience their practice. This included a session at Wellcome Collection with artist Nicola Field and Wellcome’s Development Lead, Mel Grant, discussing the types of works that are acquired and how that happens. Alongside a session with artists Selene Heath and Maz Koshika-Morris focusing on climate and ecology.


Creative Health Foundations Workshops

We delivered a number of training sessions to artists and arts workers wanting to gain a foundational understanding of creative health, including how to work ethically in the field, to raise funds and consider care for the self and others in the delivery of this work. Thank you to UAL for hosting us!

Artist Peer Groups

With continued funding from Arts Council England we ran a number of artist peer groups - bringing us into a decade of running these sessions supporting artists to develop their ideas and projects with peer to peer support.

LGBTQIA+ Events

Thanks to funding from Southwark Council’s LGBTQIA+ Fund we were able to run an artist talk by Africa Barrero-Alexander, with creative workshops by Lewis Pickles and Liberty Antonia Sadler.

Relaxed Hours at Hayward Gallery

Our friends at Southbank Centre’s Arts & Wellbeing team continued to support our members to attend relaxed hours events at Hayward Gallery.

Artist Peer Groups

Our artist peer groups continued across being in person at Southbank Centre and operating nationally online, supporting a number of presenting artists and audience/participant members giving feedback and support.

Support Hub Funding

Following on from our pilot project across 2020 - 2021, we received 3 years of funding to deliver a programme of support for artists in creative health. We are delivering across London, Greater Manchester & nationally online:

  • Professional development groups

  • Peer to peer mental health groups for artists with lived experience

  • 1-2-1 mentoring opportunities

  • Reflective supervision for artists working in challenging environments

This funding is received from Arts Council England, Baring Foundation and the Greater London Authority.

Artists’ Represent Recovery Network

In partnership with London Arts & Health and Raw Material we delivered a paid training programme for mid career artists of colour in creative health. The programme involved access to training sessions and on the job paid workshop delivery on mental health wards across the South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust.

Kindly funded by Arts Council England, Baring Foundation and Greater London Authority.

Lived Experience Programme

Funded by Arts Council England we delivered a programme of events highlighting the value of lived experience in creative practice. This included a panel discussion of artists, curators and historians and creative workshops focusing on long covid and gut health. Our main event was a film screening evening of 10 short films exploring lived experience of mental health, taking place during Creativity & Wellbeing Week. We received almost 100 submissions and selections were made by Arts & Health Hub Director Daniel Regan, Hannah Ali and Adam Hines-Green from Royal College of Psychiatrist’s Arts Special Interest Group.

Self Care Workshops for Artists

A series of in person and online sessions supporting artists to consider a wide range of aspects of self care when working in the creative health sector.

Collaborations: Artists & Social Prescribing

Commissioned by Southbank Centre we hosted an informative afternoon showcasing the work of artists working within social prescribing, bringing together healthcare workers and artists to share their practices.

Introduction to Cyanotype Workshops

Held at our colourful studio and roof terrace in Peckham, a series of cyanotype workshops supporting artists to experiment with the cameraless photographic process.

Collaborations: Artists & Patients Event

Commissioned by Southbank Centre we hosted an informative afternoon showcasing the work of artists collaborating with patients, highlighting the work of Emma Barnard and Toby Peach.

Unruly Bodies Programme

Funded by Arts Council England this programme of events, workshops and a public exhibition explored the relationships to our bodies, particularly those that are often denigrated and rejected by society.

Support Hub

Funded by Arts Council England we delivered a pilot of support programmes for artists working in creative health. Delivered entirely online and for nationwide artists, we delivered:

  • A professional development groups

  • A peer to peer mental health groups for artists with lived experience

  • 3 x 1-2-1 mentoring opportunities.

NHS Workshops

We were commissioned by NHS England and NHS Improvement to deliver 24 online creative and wellbeing workshops for staff based in Greenwich, London.
